At HMI Institute of Health Sciences, we have a team of dedicated Student & Career Services personnel to assist our students with a variety of student support services. These include:

Standard PEI Student Contract

Upon enrolment into a programme, all full-time students will receive an official letter of offer and a copy of the Standard PEI-Student Contract. In this set of documents, students will be informed of the terms and conditions of acceptance and the amount of fees they are required to pay to secure the placement offered.

Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Insurance

HMI Institute has in place a group hospital & surgical insurance covering all students of our courses registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE). This insurance which provides coverage for hospitalisation and medical treatment in the event of training related injuries and/or injuries within the Institute (or clinical attachment venues) throughout the whole course duration of the students. Students who are protected by their own medical insurance in Singapore can opt out of this coverage but will be liable for their own medical expenses.

Dispute Resolution System

A grievance/complaint can be defined as a person’s expression of dissatisfaction with any aspect of the school’s services and activities:

  • the enrolment and orientation process;
  • the quality of training provided;
  • academic issues, including student progress, assessment, curriculum and awards in the course of study;
  • handling of personal information and access to personal records; the way someone has been treated.

  • Awarded an extension of appointment to train an additional 150 Healthcare Assistants for the Singapore step-down care sector
