Course Objectives
- Prepare to conduct basic hygiene activities tailored to the needs and comforts of elderly individuals in their homes.
- Perform assisted baths for elderly individuals in a home environment.
- Aid elderly individuals with bed baths, ensuring their safety and comfort within home settings.
- Assist elderly individuals in maintaining oral hygiene in a home-based context.
- Provide specialized skin and foot care for elderly individuals, considering the unique challenges of home care.
- Support elderly individuals with basic eye care within the comforts of their homes.
Course Outline
- Basic Anatomy and Physiology of Skin: Understanding the structure, function, and challenges associated with aging skin, particularly in the context of elderly individuals residing at home.
- Maintaining Skin Integrity in a Home Setting: Techniques and strategies for recognizing and addressing signs of deteriorating skin health, ensuring optimal skin care for elderly individuals
- Home-Based Personal Hygiene Skills & Identifying Needs: Mastery of home-friendly techniques for oral, perineal, hair, skin, and foot care.
- Assisting with Showering and Bed-Bathing at Home: Adopting practical methods for safely helping elderly individuals with showering and bed-bathing in their home environments, ensuring their utmost comfort and dignity.

Certification
Upon completion of the course, the participants will be awarded the Certificate of Completion by HMI Institute.
