Module Description
This module prepares learners to support healthcare professionals by performing essential clinical tasks and assisting in medical procedures. Including task skills:
- Basic Medical terminology
- Vital signs measuring and monitoring
- Nutrition and fluid management
- Perform removal of peripheral venous cannula
- Perform capillary blood glucose monitoring
- Collection of oral/nasal/axilla/groin/rectal swab for COVID/MRSA/VRE

Module Description
This module enables the learner to acquire the mindset, effective skills and strategies to allow healthcare worker to collaborate and work well within a team of healthcare professionals. Fulfilling own responsibilities and at the same time provide support to co-workers to achieve organization and team goals.

Assessment Methods
Oral/written tests, assignments and practical performance.
- WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) – for all completed WSQ modules in the programme construct
- Trainees who managed to complete all WSQ modules of the WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Operations)
will also be conferred this full qualification
- Obtained at least a C6 pass at N-Level in any 1 subject or equivalent; OR
- Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 (Speaking, Listening, Reading & Numeracy) and Level 3 (Writing)
