This course is designed to provide fundamental insights into newborn care during the initial 180 days, covering a range of topics from daily routines care to fostering the healthy development and overall well-being of the newborn. It encompasses various physical techniques for holding an infant to enhance the bonding relationship between the mother and the baby.
While the course emphasizes the positive aspect of caregiving, it also addresses potential distressing situations, such as when the infant is unwell. Therefore, participants will gain valuable knowledge on recognizing and managing common concerns related to the newborn’s physical needs and overall well-being, enabling them to respond effectively to various situations.

- Foster healthy and safe practices in delivering optimal nutrition and hygiene care for a newborn.
- Enhance the bonding relationship with newborn confidently, using safe and comfortable techniques in holding them in a variety of ways.
- Identify common childhood illnesses/ emergencies and respond with basic home methods before seeking medical attention.
