Course Objectives

  2. Differentiate between the various types and applications of nasogastric tube insertion and feeding for in-home care.
  3. Exhibit proficiency in setting up equipment for nasogastric tube feeding in a home environment, incorporating essential tools like feeding sets and trays.
  4. Apply critical safety measures and protocols for nasogastric tube  feeding in a home context.
  5. Execute nasogastric tube feeding procedures with efficiency and care within a domestic setting.
  6. Detect and respond to potential complications arising from nasogastric tube feeding at home.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be awarded the Certificate of Completion by HMI Institute.

Caregiver Training Grant Claimable
Eligible care recipients will receive a $200 annual subsidy (from April to March the following year) that can be used by their caregivers (family members or foreign domestic workers) to attend courses to better care for their loved ones.
