Company Emergency Response Team (CERT)
First Aider Course / Basic First Aid Course
Overview
Starting from 2017, there must be a minimum of 4 trained first aiders in a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT). The CERT First Aider Course / Basic First Aid Course fulfills the training requirements for SCDF CERT Members.
Objective
The aim of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to circumstances in the workplace requiring immediate paramedical attention.
Class Size
The class will only commence with a minimum of 8 participants. For corporate bookings, please refer to Course Fee Tab.
Course Content
- Essentials of First Aid
- Shock, Bleeding and Wounds
- Musculoskeletal Injuries – Fractures / Dislocation Management
- Respiratory Problems – Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (Adult) , Asthma
- Burns Injuries
- Transportation of Casualty
- CPR+AED
Certification
Upon completion of the course, trainees will be awarded the following certificates
- CERT First Aider / Basic First Aid certificate – endorsed by HMI Institute
- CPR + AED certificate – accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) and valid for 2 years from the date of issuance
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Points
Healthcare professionals will be awarded 4 CPE Points upon completing this course.
